It arrived vacuum packed for easier shipping and storage.Before using it, I washed it on a gentle lukewarm cycle with a faster spin setting. I ordered the black XXL version of this Velvety Waterproof Blanket. Mine measures 2 m × 1.96 m — so marginally undersized, though that could simply be down to manual measurement. Compared to other blankets I own, this one is really heavy, which would make it ideal for someone who enjoys the feel of a weighted blanket. It’s definitely not just for lightweight warmth.I tested the waterproof claim by pouring a cup of water on it. While the surface soaked it up and became quite wet, nothing went through to the underside — a big bonus if you’re using it to protect your bed or sofa from accidental spills.
