Once enough oil has melted, blow out the candle and pour the warm oil onto your hand or your partner’s body, treating them to a beautiful, sensual experience they’ll remember (or let them treat you!). Pour the oil from a distance of around 30-50 cm for an extra oomph when it touches the skin, then massage gently. It’s a great way to get things started.
To extinguish your candle, gently blow out the flame. A wick snuffer works great, too. Never attempt to extinguish a candle using water.
Our massage candles are made of cocoa butter, sweet almond oil and soybean wax. This means it has great moisture content and the oil will easily absorb into your skin. Unlike regular candles made of paraffin, soy wax candles will warm but not burn your skin: the melting temperature of soy wax is much lower than paraffin.
Once you blow out the candle, the melted oil is ready to use. The oil requires no cooling due to the low melting point of the natural oils that make up the burn. You can either pour the warm oil straight onto the skin, pour a small amount into your hand first, or dip and apply the candle oil with your fingertips. See what you want to experiment with.
